Espresso(浓缩咖啡)

 

Strong coffee made by forcing hot steam through dark roasted, finely ground coffee beans.

Using a stove top espresso maker, fill the base with fresh cold water and add the coffee to the filter compartment. Screw the two parts together and bring to the boil until the top container is full. Alternatively, an espresso machine can be used to get that real, rich espersso flavour.

 

Macha(摩卡)

 

Make an espresso in a large cup. Warm some milk, add cocoa powder and froth.

Once this has a nice foamy head, carefully pour over the coffee in the cup, and dust with cocoa powder to finish.

 

Latte(拿铁)

 

Make an espresso, heat some milk, and froth a little. Half fill your cup or glass with coffee, add warm milk, top with a little froth to finish.

 

Cappuccino(卡布奇诺)

 

Make an espresso, warm some milk and froth. Add one third hot milk to one third espresso and top off with one third frothed milk. Dust with cocoa powder for a perfect cappuccino.

 

Macchiato(玛奇朵)

 

Make an espresso, heat a little milk and froth.

Pour your espresso into a small cup, and top with frothed milk.

 

Americano(美式)

 

Created by adding an espresso to freshly boiled water.

Part fill a cup with freshly boiled water, and add a single or double shot of espresso.
